Forty Years of Success - One Degree at a Time - The University of Alaska officially approved the creation of the Kenai Peninsula College in July 1964. Seven years later, in 1971, the College awarded its first Associate of Arts degree to Jack Hummel.Community service at KBC hits high note for campus trio - Community service is an important part of the professional life of KPC faculty and staff. While most of our service is related to our fields of expertise, occasionally service is not directly applicable to our main jobs, but enriches the community in unexpected, and refreshing ways.UA tuition on the rise - As it has for the past two years, the University of Alaska will see a 10% increase in tuition rates next fall.KPC skywalk approved by Board of Regents; Construction in 2005? - The University Board of Regents has approved the skywalk addition to the Kenai Peninsula College, according to Phillip Miller of KPC Facilities Maintenance. It is now at capital request status waiting for Alaska legislative funding.Research project looks at gender roles on television- KPC psychology professor Dr. Shelley Theno is leading a research project here at KPC with the assistance of two students, Lisa Greenleaf and Summer Shier.
